roadwork

ROADWORK. Let the pain go in vain! 3mins read!

Roadwork is running, jogging, or walking… basically any outdoor workout.

I have just started walking and jogging a month ago…

I get out of my bed, get fresh, get ready, get out, and get started.

I change the major part of my lifestyle for good and I give all the credits to the book called ‘BORON LETTERS’ by The Galt C. Halbert (check it out, you can find all the 25 chapters in google. It’s a must-read) in here his detail explanation about roadwork and other important aspects of a healthy lifestyle is what we are all looking for. I follow all that he mentioned in this book faithfully, and I can’t stress how much it changed my life.

I must say that running and maintaining a strict diet really helped me fight my depression, and you will only fathom the power of it when you do it.

So, here I am to share my experience, which may let you imagine yourself in my place and encourages you to take action for your benefit.

I am not a morning person, and not someone who loves working out or go out for walking or running, but today, I am someone who swear by it, changed life for good, took charge to craft my body and mind, more focused, more fit, and healthy. Kindly introduce your body with an hour of physical exercise every morning, and you will thank yourself later.

I prepare myself for my morning routine a night prior.

I pack my workout bag with my airpods, sweatband, cap, and waist pouch bag (to carry my phone for some music and keys while I run), a small bottle of water, and keep my workout clothes ready to wear.

Also to save my time in the morning, I keep a ghee bottle (let one spoon of ghee as first thing in the morning be a regular habit, and please google its benefits), and cup with a black coffee/green tea sachet (I sometimes prefer with honey) in the cup and cover with a lid, also a banana on the table for a quick grab in the morning.

Set alarm and sleep with commitment and excitement!

MORNINGS:

I prefer waking up at 5 AM and I kick myself out of the house by 5:30 AM.

As I ride to my favorite place for roadwork, I keep myself excited and remind self that I am getting better every single day, and I am super happy in what I am doing (Yes, self positive talk does wonders)!

As I reach, I leave my bag on my bike, tie around my waist pouch, play the music that boosts me, and get started! (Walker in me doesn’t want to take mobile for a walk, a writer in me does it anyway, and yeah, that little photographer side in me backs me up with the latter part).

As I slowly start walking closing my eyes… Serenely inhaling the good vibes and exhaling the stress, the cool breeze softly touching my skin, I feel grateful for the moment and saying to myself ‘this is life, this moment is life’.

I find mornings are just not about it, but it is an experience that we really can’t explain in words, and it is a feeling that only your soul could express to your mind and body. To me, Morning is like meditation..calm, new, untouched, and your own space.

I walk with the freedom knowing that no one here knows my name, my story, or anything about me and this is the place for me to practice being myself. Just Me, and Myself.

Stay with yourself and treat your body as if it belongs to you by giving it all that you got… Run like your life is fully in control and sweat like that’s the proper shower your body needs. Take care of yourself, because nobody else is responsible.

Set an intention while your body is at work, and use your mind to rewire all those negative thoughts and images into positive ones, and train your subconscious mind to react in ways that would not hamper your mental health. Let your soul dance for the beat as you listen to the music!

As you get going, you will find many people on your way as if you all belong there, having the same commitment and keeping fitness goals as their priority.

Isn’t it feels good to surround people who know the importance of self-care and self-love? To me, I feel that I should’ve realized the importance of this way before, but, I’m happy at least it happened now.

By time, I started losing weight and finally reached my target within 75days which is terrific! It has always been my dream to lose weight and get back in shape… I will always be thankful to myself for reading ‘BORON LETTERS’ and actually implanting Mr. Halbert’s teachings.

POST ROADWORK:

Finally… I reach home and relax 5mins before working out (warm up your body with Yoga) and later followed by meditation.

This might sound a little too much but this is my routine. I would recommend you to be flexible to routine changes according to your new fitness mindset.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

CONCLUSION:

Don’t miss to read BORON LETTERS and start ROADWORK asap! I highly recommend.

You can thank me later!
